OCTFOLIO - Made for ALS Limited
For NZ Ministry of Education Accredited Asbestos Assessors and Surveyors

You're on the MoE supplier list. Your field tool should match the standard.

Accreditation brings more work, and the schools engaging you expect more than just a report. Your tool needs to handle both without the admin piling up. With Octfolio capture structured field data, photos, and samples in real time, and sync directly into a live register before you've left the site. No paper. No write-ups. No double-handling. Hours back from every job.

From 1 April 2026, it is compulsory for NZ schools to engage consultants including asbestos surveyors and assessors on the accredited supplier list.

Being on the MoE accredited supplier list means schools can engage you. What sets you apart is whether you can help them stay compliant between surveys, and not just at the point of assessment. The data you capture should do more than sit in a report, it should tell schools what to do next, and when.

The duty to manage asbestos under the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 is continuous. The survey starts that obligation. The register and management of risk is how schools meet it.

Octfolio connects both, giving you a better tool in the field, and giving your clients a platform they can actually manage between your visits.

Delivering up to 80% less reporting time.

Surveyors and assessors are spending less time on admin and more time completing actual survey work, at volume.

Reporting time saved0%

Up to 80% less time spent compiling and formatting reports post-survey.

Manual data re-entry eliminated0%

Field data syncs directly into the register. No duplicate entry when you return to the office.

Based on feedback from surveyors and assessors using Octfolio's Inspector App.

See it in action for yourself

Worst case

You finish the trial and go back to what you had.

Best case

You freed up your time to fit more surveys into the same week.

Built for the people doing the work, and the schools responsible for it.

Every hour spent on admin after a survey is an hour not spent on the next one. Octfolio gives surveyors and assessors the tools to capture and deliver compliant asbestos data without the paperwork, and gives schools a live, always-current register they can access and manage year-round.

Capture in the field. It's already in the system.

Everything you need is on your device before you arrive. Structured checklists guide every survey, with photos, samples and observations linking to the right record as you go. Data syncs as you work where signal allows, and automatically when you're back in range.

Find any record in seconds by searching across every question and answer in the app, or jump directly from the photos tab.

No manual sample numbering, with numbers assigned automatically and ready to copy into your chain of custody document.

Consistent data capture across every site and every surveyor, with customisable survey templates.

Every record logged to your name, attributed, traceable, and QA-ready the moment it syncs.

Give Asset Owners Live Register Access

Deliver a live register. Not a PDF sent days later.

The moment you sync, records are ready for review and approval, the register is generated, and the school has access to current documentation. No email, no manual delivery, and no risk of the wrong version being in circulation.

The register is live the moment you sync, giving asset owners and site visitors access to the most current documentation without a manual delivery step.

Role-based permissions keep critical settings locked, so records move through review and approval without anything being changed in the wrong hands.

What surveyors and assessors ask before trialling Octfolio.

Switching systems is something that needs to be evaluated, and one we would rather you experience for yourself before committing.

Post-survey administration can cut into the time you could be directing toward quoting and completing more work. If your clients are also disengaged from reports and unclear on what they've received, this is exactly what Octfolio solves.

The Inspector App delivers up to 80% less reporting time. Everything captured in the field syncs directly into a structured register, recovering hours on every job. For your clients, it replaces a static report with a live register containing clear risk information, a full record of findings, and visibility over what requires action. The quality and compliance of your work is immediately evident, reducing back-and-forth with clients on what was found and what needs to happen next. That is a material difference in the service you are able to deliver, and a client experience that positions you as their preferred supplier.

The most direct way to evaluate this is to run one job through the Inspector App alongside your current system. You are already going on site, there is nothing additional to lose.

The Inspector App is designed to be intuitive, while offering the flexibility to reflect your methodology and standards. A drag-and-drop form builder enables you to construct and manage checklists from a comprehensive library of field types, including text inputs, dropdowns, camera capture, date pickers, checkbox groups and more.

This means you arrive on-site with a checklist that reflects exactly how you work, with no adapting to a generic form, no irrelevant fields. The customisable structure supports the assessment rather than interrupting it. Additionally, every job is returned consistently structured, regardless of who completed it in the field.

Yes. The Inspector App supports surveys across a range of other hazardous materials (HAZMAT). A customisable checklist builder allows you to create and manage forms for any HAZMAT type your work requires, capturing the specific data fields, risk criteria and methodology relevant to that material, all within the same platform and workflow. The outcome is a single system for your HAZMAT surveys, with all data feeding into one structured platform for your clients, providing complete oversight of the different risks across their portfolio.

The Inspector App was designed to reduce workload rather than add to it, delivering up to 80% less reporting time with automated report generation.

Structured checklists move you through the survey in a logical sequence, with photos, samples and observations linking to the correct record automatically as you go. There is no separate data entry when you get back to the office because it is already done. The time that typically goes into compiling and formatting reports gets handed back to you to quote for and complete more jobs.

There's both. The web portal is where you'd handle scheduling, job management, QA, report finalisation, drawing uploads, attaching certificates, and desktop-based administration. Multiple team members can access and work on the same job simultaneously from the portal. The app handles field capture; the portal handles everything around it.
Yes. The Inspector App is built for sites with low or no connectivity. Job data is downloaded to your device before you leave, so everything you need is already there when you arrive. Any data you capture syncs automatically the moment you are back in range, including photos, samples and observations, and it is QA-ready with no manual uploading required. You can work through the survey without interruption, and nothing needs to be re-entered when you return.

Octfolio uses live syncing, so if one assessor starts a clearance, another team member can generally pick that work up on another device or through the web portal once the data has synced.

Clearances are also split into sections, so different parts can be captured across different devices and brought back together into one clearance once everything has synced. That means if someone completed the pre-check, integrity testing, and uploaded photos, another assessor would not need to start from scratch or create a duplicate clearance simply because the first person became unavailable.

The main caveat is where a job has been started on a device that is offline, changes won't be visible to others until that device comes back online and syncs.

Full access to the Inspector App. You can onboard a real site, run a survey through the Inspector App, and see the complete register and client experience, exactly as your client would see it. It is the most direct way to evaluate whether the platform is right for your business before committing to anything.
